Comments: After all these years of not knowing what ended up happening to you I am so glad to find you alive and happy. We actually used to sit around and talk about it. Nobody I knew seemed to know what became of you. The first glimps we got was the 'Behind The Music' episode. The first thing that popped out of our mouths was 'Man, look how good he looks!' And I am SO glad you are still playing. It gave me a renewed feeling that there was a little justice left in the world knowing that things worked themselves out for you, Roger Fisher. Any person who walks with grace, faith and sincerity can find redemtion and acceptance, if not from other, then at least in themselves. We are proud of and for you. Not that we thought you were a fuck-up, we just did not know what happend to you. What else do you expect from rock n' roll when people just disappear? Esp. when that are that good. It was a big mystry for a long time. The first Heart album came out when I was in the 3rd grade. My older brother played the hell out of it. Those guitar parts are part of the soundtrack to my childhood that will never go away. So, however indirectly, your actions had an impact on my life. You made a lot of great times and memories for me. Thank you. Now let's get on with making some more. I believe in you Roger. Let me know anytime you want to play Austin. Sincerly, George Schinler

As a guitarist myself, I find one of the most fasinating aspects of your work is it's ability to remain as inspiring as it does from day one. Comments: Hi Roger, Great to see that your doing fine and still making music! I stopped listening to Heart in the 1980's because I thought that your guitar playing had gone down hill, but after viewing VH1's behind the music about Heart, I now know that the real Heart died in 1979. Your guitar playing was easily as important to the sound of the band as Ann's vocals and definately more than Nancy's guitar work. Yeah, they sold out and made lots of money, but that means nothing in Gods eyes!

Comments: Man oh man, we've come a long way from the old 70s'eh!!? I never dreamed I would be sending a message to one of the top guitarist that influenced me as a musician. (Asuming Roger acually reads this). Yo Rog, I feel like some excited teenage kid writing into a fan magazine, well I guess I am a fan, but I'm 39 now. I worked at a record store a couple years ago and for my name badge I had a picture of you playing a guitar from 78'. I was so proud to explain to people who you were when they asked "who's that?" So I was listening to your work in "Mistral Wind" this evening and was wondering what ever became of Roger Fisher? I did a search online and here you are! I will certainly get hold of your solo work. When you departed from Heart, I lost interest. (sorry girls) I guess that's it for now, thanks so much for touching my soul and giving such insperation. P.S. Your children are beautiful.

He was so nice and still gorgeous! Gave me a my friend autographs and a big hug. Since that night I've reflected on what Roger's input was to my favorite band and realized that his collaborations are the ones that I really love the most. Comments: Roger deserves to be inducted in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame along with Heart whenever the band gets inducted (they're eligible after 2001). I'd be very surprised and upset if he's not up there with Ann and Nancy getting his Hall of Fame statuette as well. He truly deserves it!!! You're the best, Roger! Best regards from your fans in the Caribbean...

Comments: The guitar work on the early Heart albums was the first thing that caught my ear about the songs when I first heard them in the 70's. A really big part of that band's appeal was lost when Roger's playing was gone. I recently pulled out some old vinyl and was lamenting the loss of that sound when a quick search led me here. I have no idea what happened that split that band up, but the Wilson sisters lost a damn fine player when they lost Roger Fisher. -Rob

Comments: I saw the episode of Behind the Music about Heart; it sounded like Roger Fisher left on very bad terms with Ann and especially Nancy-do you know if he still speaks to them at all now? Also, I never understood the reason behind why Steve Fossen was fired; it seems to me that Nancy couldn't keep her love life out of the band and that was why Mike Derosier was let go also. Any input on this? btw, I really enjoyed your website.

Comments: GREAT to find this Site!!! I agree that Heart lost much of the excitement and creativity of its songwriting and guitar playing when Roger left, and I too hope the original band can get together again. I'm looking forward to the new CD, "Evolution" ---- and Please, Roger, no {{synths}}, OK? ;-) --- I want to order all the CD's listed here (except Reigning Sun, which I have) but would rather not give credit card info online. Can someone from this Site email me about how I can order the CD's some other way? Best Wishes and Thanks! Joan May

Comments: Hey ... I was able to meet Roger, briefly, last Sat., Feb. 13th at a benefit show that I was volunteering at. He was awesome and very sweet. He was a part of the Heart of the City all stars (which included Chris Barron of the Spin Doctors') and they did some badass jamming.

Comments: My favorite rock quote is from Chrissie Hynde. She said she stole it from Ray Davies: "They didn't call it Heavy Metal when I invented it!" Reading Roger's moment of inspiration at 14 while mowing the lawn on your "Roger" page, I realize that boast wasn't too big an exaggeration! Thanks for the interesting tidbits and informative material about Roger's music, and philosophy. Keep up the good work! Nice web page! Louise Timmons

Comments: I just found this site after watching the VH1 behind the scenes documentary, because it brought back so many memories of my first rock concert in june of 78 when I was 13 years old. The band was Heart and Roger Fisher was my idol! He looked so cool up there on stage. I was more into him than I was Ann and Nancy.I always wondered what happened to him.I never knew that he was putting out cd's.How do I go about getting all of them? A long time fan, Mike Blackmore

Thanks, Ade...been watching my engineer Trent work on the site here, and never realized how much is involved. Should be up (in abbreviated form) this week.

Comments: Rog- Just recieved "Barracuda 99'" I can say "its 2x Awesome XL - out of this world" The reworked lyrics hit home solid - Love prevails. Your strong intense vocals of raw natural power give the song "Pushing the Spirit" a good kick. Thumbs up to the studeous studio techniques - truly on the cutting edge... If this is any indication of your vision then I will surely except the quest to follow. Your insight has found a new place give it purpose. Rock On!

Comments: Adrian, your pages are looking better and better every time I see them! Wonderful stuff! Roger's art is fantastic and it is always a joy to see his face for me! =)

I hope Evolution's funding comes through soon so I can order a copy of the CD! After reading the lyrics, I know I want a copy, because I am making my own "decision to live love. . ."
My very best to you,

Feather

Comments: Hey Roger, Its just me, Don McCoy, I'm A friend of Jimmie the teepee man. I happened along your site by accident but glad that I found it. You simply don't receive enough credit for what you have done. I must say that its been a pleasure knowing you, and I hope we can "hook up" again one day to just do a little jamming. Take care of yourself and your precious children. Maybe we'll see each other soon at Lydia's house. see ya, Don

Comments: Happy New Year! Thanks for Forest Rain and Standing Looking Up. Can't wait for Evoloution. We named one of our beautiful Shelties Evoloution of Dreams in anticipation of your new C>D, tape. I've been so busy with kids and the holidays that I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't been at the computer in months! anyway, here is an official Happy New Year : New year's eve, we walk the bay / the years are racing by / rewinding dreams from yesterday / to replay in your bluest sky; / Archer, have you yet your sight, / released the aim and freed the goal?/ The resolutions that we make tonight / become the footsteps to your soul!/ Our dream of love we cannot sell / the price it's worth could not be paid / The children all have taught me well / to sleep not in the bed I've made; / Tonight hot colors strike the sky / falling. . . faded on the earth's soft floor. . . / At dawn our doves will harmonize / with songs that open heaven's door; / So follow us to find a beach / where our castles will forever stand. / The candle burns within your reach / like a child that reaches for your hand . . . 1998 . . .
