Mr. Fisher,

I was listening to "Magazine" tonight for the first time in ages and was once again reminded of how great an influence your guitar playing was for me when I was first breaking into the business. Still am atsounded by your playing on tracks off that LP as well as your licks on Magic Man, etc.

Thanks so much for all the listening pleasure you have given through the years. Guitar players come and go, but your style is still one of the most recognizable from the 70s. Heart lost one of its most talented members ever when you left the band.

Yours truly,

Scott Wakefield

Hey Roger...I know you won't remember me, but I used to hang out with Tracey Bevan (who dated Larry Greene from 10 Bulls) back in the 80's! I live up in Bellingham now with my son but wondered if you know how I can reach Larry? He was really sweet to me even after they stopped dating and I always wonder what happened to him! I see you and Mike are doing great!!! Do you know what happened to Scott and Gregg? What about Scooter (Terry). I feel old thinking back to those days....I wasnt even 21 when you all played PrimeRib Palace...LOL Remember that place in Kirkland?? Well, i'm hoping to come down tonight to see your show in Seattle...I'm sure it will be great!

I had the pleasure of meeting you & Brad at the Heart Convention that you flew out to appear at in Toms River, NJ a few years ago. You especially enjoyed my son who was just 2 years old; you came right over to him and took the time to play around with him. Later that night we sat together and watched Vinnie perform across the street from the Holiday Inn. You are great people to be around and we all had a blast.

Thanks!

Roger, I'm interested in getting copies of your cds. Are any avaiable via Amazon? They don't appear to be. At 41, I'm just coming to honestly realize what a loss it was for Heart when Mike and you left, whatever the circumstances. Your contribution was just enormous and can't be understated. Dreamboat Annie and Little Queen still both seem so seamless due to your guitar work. Your absence was immediately noticed on Bebe Le Strange, which represented a huge drop in quality and vision from DA, or even Magazine. I saw you perform on the Little Queen tour in Miami, and will never forget your wonderful performance, especially on Devil Delight, which was new me then and a stand-out. I'm hope you're doing well with your life and artistic endeavors, and look forward to finding my way to more of your work in the future.

In the late 70's, while working at Travis Bean Guitars, I remember your guitar coming back to the factory, perhaps for warranty work. The reason this stands out in memory is because of the unique way you had altered the finish of your guitar. If memory serves (and I'm trusting it less & less) It was a white "Artist" model with a carved top. What made it interesting was that you had artfully removed the paint from the contoured part of the top, exposing the natural koa wood. Kind of a wood bursting through paint effect. I also remember Travis wrting an inscription & signing it before it was shipped back. Still have it?

Hi,

I recently caught heart behind the music on VH1. It was during divas week.
But for some reason, everytime I tried to watch Divas Live I kept falling asleept
I used to fall asleep during KISW's metal shop too. So go figure.

It was nice meeting you, Eva, and little Roger, last saturday.

Julie and I enjoyed hearing you play your guitar. We will have

It is such a pleasure to have found your website. I was drawn to the cutting edge sound that you brought to Heart, but I
was not quite old enough to see you perform with them. I have been collecting old Heart concerts so I can hear what I
missed. My favorite so far is from Cleveland,Ohio 10/16/76--- especially "sing child sing".
These tapes make me realize what Heart might have become if you stayed.
I have not heard any of your solo work. I'm sure I'll find it as I view your entire sight.

I ALWAYS WONDERED IF YOU WOULD HAVE DRIVEN THE BAND IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION FROM ALL
THAT COMERCIAL CRAP THEY PUT OUT AFTER YOU LEFT.

Hi Roger,

I want to thank you for being so nice to mine and Pat LLanos's children. Pat recorded some music at your place a long time ago. (7 yrs ago) You fixed a nice vegetarian meal and showed us your home and garden. I enjoyed playing pool with you. By the way; I won the game. We need to play two more games to see who the champ is. I was happy to see that you are working on an album. Remember God's timing is perfect.

Regards,
Brenda Blades

Dear Roger-
I am a 37 year old pro play-for-a-living bass player and you are to blame! Well sort of. I still make that totally satisfied nodding scrunched-up rock n roll face when I hear your double tracked bendy harmony leads on 'Magic Man' just the same as when I first heard them & made that face when I was 13 years old. Your sh*t has edge, lots of edge. And thats what I learned from you that makes me a successful player and human being to this day. Your honest & humble contribution to the 'Behind The Music'piece reminded me of how much alike we are, in life experiences and that 'edge! Thanks for lightin' that fire that got me here. Life is good! best wishes to you & your family.

Hello,

I found your picture of my old high school classmate, Deacon Chapin, through a Google web search.

Last week, I received news from my school that Deacon died this January 5th. Do you happen to know what happened, etc.?

The school seemed unsure, had no addresses for family, etc.

Thanks, Steve Anable (St. George's School, '69)

Dear Rog; I invite you to exercise your option to selflessly pass some knowledge.I have a copy of Evolution and was intrigued by your Tabla drums. What are you using?I record homemade sitar and tabla in my music and I'm always intrested in learnig more.Mt tabla is samples of me tapping my cheek while forming bubble sounds with my lips,I then lower the sample 3 octaves on my PC.My sitars are made by inserting window glass on my bridge.I use a mandolin as the harp.My lifelong hobby has been writing lyrics. My secondaries are electronicsand guitar constuction.I like George Harrison stuff, have you listened to the verv pipe?It has puzzled me how with the advent of computer sampling that contemporary musicians have never come close to the sophistication and simplicity of Sgt. Pepper or songs like Blue Jay Way.Anyhow I'm like this lonely dude who lives in the MO. Ozarks a mile from Mcdonalds.I don't chance to meet any people of similar intrests so if your ever feeling chatty or want to bounce an idea or maybe here my music I'm online for you dude.I must go now there's a mist and the lichen is green.Keith Henrics

Hi Roger! I remember 21 years ago (has it been THAT long!) helping your friend Teness type things up for the Roger Fisher Band Fan Club! She'd send me a package of whatever and I was excited every time I got it! Years later I went traveling with some friends who were going on the Def Leppard tour and freaked an old friend of yours out when, after several days into the tour, I placed her from old pictures in the RFB newsletter. I think her name was Julie or Juliette. A few years after THAT me and a friend went out to see Tesla's club tour and one night Frank walked in with a RFB sweatshirt on. We were surprised to learn that we both were Roger Fisher fans. And tonight I was just browsing and found you again! What a great surprise! Your kids are just beautiful! I can't wait to hear your next project!

Best Wishes,
Michelle

Hi Roger and all, just wanted to say hi and see if there will ever be a Heart reunion. Over at annandnancy.com there is a rumor on the boards that Heart might be touring with Styx, is this true? As I am a younger fan, I have "Never" been to a "Heart" concert - only Ann and Nance. I'm not complaining though because that was absolutely GREAT!! Keep Rawkin' and Heart Live On!!

Hey Rog
Wow! Where do I begin! First off, you are truly the inspiration for me becoming a rock singer. I am 25 years old and one of the FIRST memories I have in
life is hearing the driving force of Barracuda and Michael and Steve included in the inspiration. To say that you are one of my "true heros" is
something I could easily say and without any pause!
Okay, so enough strokin' the ole' ego. I have a deal to make with you. Since the age of around 3, I have been singing and playing drums (Michael's my drum hero - lol) and
the only thing I've really wanted in life was to sing in a band with you three. Of course, I love Heart too, the old Heart much better than the re-emerged '85 Heart. In fact
last year, I met Ann and Nancy at the Hard Rock in Vegas, and both were laughing because I knew every song and harmony. I'm rambling, sorry! Anyway, I'm a damn good singer and
I want a chance to show you three that "we" could be a successful band. Now, I know that it takes a lot of balls to write you and I'll be surprised if you even respond. We have
one life and I intend on living mine to the fullest. I mean, if I don't even try to write you, and think I'll get no response, then, I'm giving up before I start, right. Anyway,
I am willing to fly my own way to Seattle or wherever and bring a folder of lyrics and find my destiny. I'm not crazy, I'm just persistant and feel that this would be a helluva
good thing. I have a higher rock voice and could even handle doing "Love Alive" or a couple of Heart tunes or Alias tunes. Now, before you disregard me a nuts (which, you may easily want
to do!) then please think about it. Honestly Roger, you Michael and Steve and what keeps me going musically and I KNOW that we'd get along. Now, I am only 25 but I am a damn good worker
and won't let the rock business tear me down. I'm a serious songwriter and just am hoping for one shot. I think that's all any of us younger generation rockers, right. I mean, what
a crazy but kewl thing it would be to get a response for one of Rock's best and most guitarists/writers. Well, thank for listening and I hope to hear from you. Take care of the kids, wife and
all the important people in your life!
Best of Luck
Michael James
