Roger, I am beside myself. I'm trying to write you a short note without coming across as an obsessed fan, but I truly am knocked out at the thought of being able to tell you so many things. Thank you for the music, especially the mistral wind. Thank you for making me rock hard so many years. Your pictures hang in my home. My workout room is my haven, and it is there I pay homage to you and the girls and the rest of that band you were a part of. You always frightened me a little bit. You look as if you are angry in my pictures. A tough guy, quick tempered. I guess all of us were angry when we were so very young. Anyway from my family to yours, much love and admiration. Rog, it really was fun playing together September 1st. Seems our singing "Come Softly To Me" at Liquid Lounge was only the beginning! Gotta do more of that, explore your softer side, and call us "FleetwoodHeart" (and, of course, add your terrific rock edge to some of my newer songs like "What Good Is Pride (when you're dying inside)". As a LONG time Fisher fan,I'm ashamed to say...I just recieved my copy of "Standing looking up". But MAN am i glad i got this one,as a musician i thought i'd heard it all. boy was i WRONG! This music is BLISTERING! fantastic (yes i'm a bit biased) WAY AHEAD OF IT'S TIME. Every tune on this cd holds up even now! destined to be any guitar players MUST HAVE cd. it puts you in what i call the "Fisher mode" that is the... "how'd he DO THAT!?#%^&$" mode...(You guitar players know what i mean...for you non-guitarist,artsy F--rtsy types,it's like Floyd on steriods! or gabriel without the lyrics and REALLY REALLY BETTER MUSIC!HA! I can see a revival of this cd as a CLASSIC rock n' roll guitar GOTTA OWN IT,or you ain't got squat collection! so thank you rog,et all,for another bunch of years i have to think about makeing my fingers doing unatural things on strings! BUT I LOVE THIS CD ! ! I hope you have alot in stock,because i know of a bunch of musicians that will be putting in orders. I got it today with evolution today,and read somewhere to listen to EV in one sitting to get the full effect...so i put on SLU first... but i gotta ask this...HOW DO YOU FOLLOW UP SLU? really! :) ~eirepiper~ |

Hey Roger, I thought I'd post a message on the site to let everyone know what you and the band are up to. After taking the summer off, Roger, Mike, Rick, Lynn and myself are heading up to Canada at the end of September to record a couple of tracks. After that our plan is to continue writing and recording, and of course work up a live set which I guarantee will blow the arse any venue we play. I just want anyone who is interested to know that Big Game will be unlike anything you have heard before. Keep looking in as we will be leaving regular updates. And to all you loyal Roger Fisher fans out there, I want to let you know that I can tell you from first hand experience that the man is playing licks like you ain't never heard before. Cheers! I'm still taking photos and have just got back into playing music again. I have a bad back so it will dictact how long i can play. One of my best accomplishments was being a student of yours for four years. I am now in a place to incorparate everything i have learned. Thank you for being a part of the creative process.
