| Roger, it's great to see that you are still rocking! I am a huge Heart fan, especially of the early days. Mike Derosier's drumming had a giant influence on me as a young drummer. Many guitarists I work with today are still in awe of the work you did over 25 years ago on those first 4 Heart albums. Now that I know about your site, I'll check your schedule and come see the band when you are in the New York City area. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! |
| greetings from the elder and moss families. Wishing you all a merry christmas and happy new year. rock on! |
| I've been a fan of the band for years now and I can safely say that I owe my strong vocals and singing ability to Anne as she was a very big influence on me. On Feb 12th of 2005, I am appearing on a program called 'stars in their eyes' on ITV. This is a dream come true for me, but best yet, i'm appearing as 'Anne Wilson' singing 'alone'. I hope you can all take the time to watch and vote for me, and above all, I really hope you enjoy it....I DID! |
| I just had to post this while I'm still sad and angry. RIP Dimebag Darrell. You will be missed. It was the day the music died (for metalheads everywhere). |
| Hey Rog, I'm typing this on behalf of Rev. David Wayne. He's been without a computer for sometime due to circumstances beyond his control, but he would like to contact you regarding something you guys were talking about doing. I'm not sure on the details. If you remember me. I had email thru "click network", but they upgraded to digital and I wasn't home when they came by to drop off the new keyboard and pick up the old one. (CRAP) I'm slacking off at work right now so I could convey the message. Just in case you forgot its www.reverend.cx Bye for now. When will Jeffery Cassle be at jazzbones next. I live within walking distance of the place. |
|
Hey Rog, After receiving your e-mail / amazing gift this morning, I decided to see if you had a site and was thrilled to find that you do. I understand fully now what it is that you said you're writing and I can see that it's as insightful as your playing. What you wrote about writing lyrics holds true for novels, too. It's very inspiring. I can also see that you have a beautiful heart and generous spirit. Look how many friends you have. Isn't a man's truth worth measured that way? What a nice world we would live in if everyone were more like you. Thank you again for everything! I think I can keep going now. |
| hi i saw your site for the 1st time and was impressed with your work!! I thought you dried up after you broke up with delicious Nancy Wilson and Heart! It's good to know that your doing well and seem happy with your family, I see that your into the new age stuff like most musicians get into. I hope you can get together with Heart again as a special guess. Take care. |
|
What's shaking Rog? Hope all is well in your part of the world. We are enjoying the wonderful colors of the trees the changing of the seasons, a friend from Spain who saw it here for the first time said to me, "it is like a gift for your eyes no?" Now when I see it every Fall I think of his remark and say, yes it is a gift. Take care, Peace and Love, Rona |
| hi roger - thanks for making my adolescence ROCK! glad to see you're still alive and kicking! i was lucky to see you during the "dog & butterfly" tour - after that, i lost interest in heart because it just didn't sound right without you (and even less right after they "lost" mike and steve). so thanks for the LOUD memories :) |
|
Rog, you're early stuff was such an inspiration to those of us that decided to pick up and play a guitar. Am I the only one who thinks you deserved MUCH more credit for that band's success? They seem to have a problem not firing the non-family members. You rock. Thanks for the music. |
|
Hi Roger, Wonderful site you have here! Nice to see that you're still playing music, you were really missed in Heart. I'm also glad to see that you've found much happiness in your life as well. I'll definitely give your newer works a listen! Steve |
|
Wow! What a surprise! I've often wondered about you since you left Heart way back when. I've been a Heart fan since 1978 when I first heard Dreamboat Annie at a party. (I still love them) I set out to learn to play like Nancy. hahaha Didn't quite make it to her level, but I came pretty close though I thought! After you left the band, it wasn't quite the same. I knew you had played a huge part in their development. You could hear the change in the music. Heart had a quality like no other. I also felt that you were responsible for teaching Nancy the "lead" side of playing guitar. I am anxious to go out and find your CD's. I really enjoyed your playing and think you are an excellent guitarist. Thank you for the music and keep on rockin!! Linda McKee, a fan in Grand Rapids, Michigan |
| Hey Rog its just me Tamela, I like the site its looking good dude! Nice art work also! Would love to see more of it! Hope the family is doing well and give everyone hugs for me! Maybe we will be up this next year agian, sure would be nice huh! Well when ya get a chance check out just some of my artwork,I am artist of the week! Let me know what ya think k. Well gota get going talk to ya soon! Tamela |
| Yesterday was Mike Derosier's birthday who's in a few of Roger Fisher's bands. I posted it yesterday on the Heart board, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! |
|
Happy Birthday Mike Derosier!!!! :) Wishing Mike, Roger and all the Geoffrey Castle Band the Very Best of Success and happy healthy living. Hoping to see you Geoffrey Castle live in the near future. Rock On, John |
|
Roger, I believe I saw you some time after leaving the band Heart. You had a female singer and played a concert in Dallas. One song stuck in my head, called - King of the Jungle (or something). Was that you and your song? I thought at the time it was a cool song. I do not see it on any of your albums. A word back from you would be great. Thanks, for your great talent and contributions to Rock and Roll. |
|
HI Roger!I have listend to Evolution 9 or 10 times since I bought a copy at the Microsoft party on Sunday.....WOW!!!!What a great musical and spiritual journey!!!! My friend Mark and I talked to you at the party and then you signed our albums later.THANKS for your time...that means ALOT to your fans!!!! So...when and where do we see you play next??? |
| Hello Roger Fisher! Big Heart Fan here. Im glad someone in the group has a website where they actually see the email. Yes, I still do consider you part of Heart, regardless of what the band is going through throughout this History of Heart. Just bought the "3" new Heart Expanded Edition cds of Little Queen/Dog/Bebe. I love the Bonus tracks and the Rare seen pics in the booklet of you and the rest of Heart. I really like the guitar work and the harmonizing vocals on TOO LONG A TIME. The release of these 3 Expanded Edition cds by Heart is a good sign for us Heart fans. Thanks again for the Barracuda cd single and the autograph. Im going to see Heart on Aug 16 '04, the Detroit show. I will be waiting for you Mike and Steve to come out.....too long a time. From the heart of Detroit, Mike |
| Hay Rog ! The Barracuda Instrumental would be very cool to hear ! . Have you played around with that enough for a rough mix to get out ? The guitars and solo's are amazing in that !!! That was so fun ! Barracuda instrumental Rocks HARD !!! Right on Rog !!! Thanks ! Whyrag |
|
Hello Roger! This is Steve Bell, the guitarist with R-Kane. I was not able to see the whole show you played at Lake Fair in Olympia, but I did get to hear the first three or four songs! Good stuff!! I will be looking into when I can hear you guys again! I think I missed something special. Hopefully I will see you play again soon! See ya then!! Steve Bell |
|
I think Roger Fisher is an amazing guitarist. I mean the stuff he played with Heart was awesome. The riffs he played "Magic Man" just amazes me. |
| Saw you at Lake Fair. The Music was incredible. I hope to see the band again soon. Your Guitar work is truly unique. In my opinion the first few Heart albums were the best because of your guitar work, the band lost it's way after you left. It was a pleasure to meet you in person afterwards, Sorry I was not able to locate a beer for you! : ) |
| Hello Roger! I first heard about you and your band Heart in 1982 or in 1983. My father and Grandfather visited the US and Canada to visit our relatives. When they got back they told me that you played in a rock band called Heart. I also got a lp called Barracuda, i do not know if it was from you or your parents, thanks anyway. I also got some nice black and white photos. I got two dougthers, 12 and 15 years old they are very interested in our relatives in the US and Canada. Best grettings from your family in Norway. My fathers name is Kristoffer Ora. My grandfathers name was Ole Ora. |
|
So, Roger, I wonder if you check this guestbook. I hope so, it's been a long time! Remember Lake Hills, and the Trips Festivals at the Coliseum, and Whiteheart stickers? ;) Happy belated (by about 4 1/2 months) birthday from an old friend. Diane |

Mr. Fisher, I am a huge Heart fan and have been since I was about 12 and I'm 22 now. Dreamboat Annie was the first thing my mother introduce me to when I was little. As you know Heart is returning with a new album......I just wanted to say I have heard it....and I think it is time you Steve Fossen and Michael Derosier returned to give the band its authentic sound.....it would be the comeback of the century.....you guys should contact Ann and Nancy and get it together. Heart just isn't the same. |
| Roger just push on. don't let "them" slow you. |
|
Hi Roger, Without a doubt, one of the most innovative influential guitarists. Your playing has made a major impact on my development as a guitarist , and for that I thank you. Please keep up the great playing. And do come to New York soon. Thanks, Joe |

Hey man can you either send me the chords for Little Queen (the song not the whole album) or post the tab somewhere, I'm having trouble transcribing it. |
|
It's been 38 years since we have seen each other, and played together, in the basement of my parent's house in Kenmore. The hug we shared last night and the music you and your band gave us at BC MacDonalds was inspiring. Going home and listening to and reading Evolution was wonderful. Then I read about your daughter's early "fear of water" experience and her subsequent "See Daddy, I conquered my fear!". This is an inspiration to me as I work with my 10 year old "Little Brother", Allen, who's been struggling for weeks with swimming lessons and just beginning now to overcome a similar bad early experience with water. You have inspired me to help Allen see, and finally conquer his fear of water. The Evolution in him is just beginning. I will be in touch again. Love, Russel West |
| Hi there--looking forward to your next show (and hopefully get to sing again with y'all). I've told all my friends about the G.C. Band, so keep on doing what you do! |
| hey Roger I saw the show at the Everett histroic theare and though it was awsome you also gave me your card and i was wondering if you could tell me what the price of lessons are |

Hey Roger, I sing and play guitar in Luvplanet with Mark McGee. I wanted to thank you for taking the time to write such a prolific, thought reflecting review of our cd for our website. As you are aware, so much Luv, time, energy, focus etc.. go into the process of writing, arranging and recording original material. Most people don't realize the scope of it, it's truly mind blowing! But it's what we are put here to do. The music that you have shared with the world has been a huge inspiration to Mark, myself and Luvplanet. Thank you, & I do hope that someday our music paths will cross and we have a chance to meet. Peace&harmony, Katie Schuch |
| I thought i would see if there was a site of my name |

Put us on any contact/email list you have going-Thank you! Gilda, H. Scott and Sonja |
| Hi Rog, You're right...It is all water under the bridge! I hope you're happy with all you do! I wished we could have caught up with each other at the EMP opening, but you know how those things go. You seem like like you're doing well! That's great! I'm ok....ready for a change though, after 20 years in Alaska. Don't ask me why I've been up here so long? I don't even know? It's beautiful like nothing on Earth! Anyhow, hope to hear from you....I'll never forget what an inspiration you and your brother were on me! You have the greatest qualities....of a man, yet....you have the awe and wonder in your eyes of every new day rising! Your outlook on life touched me deeply, perhaps someday we can talk about it. Rog, I'd love to reminisce about old times, they were a blast! Take good care, my friend~ Love Always, Kathi Cooper #(907)770-5522~ |

Hey Rog, Haven't checked in for awhile. Glad to hear you're out there mixing it up and rocking. Just curious if you will be putting pics from any recent gigs on your site? Or live snipits? Next best thing to "being there". Are you still working on that "play it by ear" guitar book? Vikki |

Hi, Roger: Walt Perry here, from Gretchen's 16th. I enjoyed playing a few songs with you. I was in law school and not paying much attention to music when you were apparently breaking out and setting the world afire. Congratulations on your many successes. Your website reveals you to be a highly insightful person. I would enjoy spending some musical time with you again. |
|
Hi Jeff! Rog also plays guitar in the Geoffrey Castle Band. I just added that bit of info to the live page. Check out the dates, again. Z-ya! |
| Hey Roger, It's me Gary Longs father-in-law. I've been talking to gary and he said you were playing live shows but he didn't know where. He told me to go to your web sight and the information would be there. I've looked at your sight just a little and couldn't find it. so If I can't find it I'll call you for it. How have you been. I hope your child is growing up big and strong. My youngest daughter had a child 2 years ago a little girl. I've become very attached to her. I hope to see you soon at a show. your Friend Flintstone |

| Glad to find your site Roger!! Big fan for many years. I plan on featuring you on a page I'm building about my favorite guitar players. Is there a way you could make a page for guitar players? One that features your guitars, gear (w/pics!), recommendations, links to lessons, etc.? That would be fantastic! |
|
Great site. I'm so glad to surf in here as I have been wondering about Roger for years. Roger, If you read this, I have very fond memories of your tours through St. Louis in the mid/late 70's. Just Awesome. You inspired my brother and myself. My brother is an accomplished guitarist and me, I'm just a part-time picker. |
